When Saffron initially came to the lounge, she was so scared that she stayed hidden. We could see her watching the other cats play and interact with our guests and slowly she learned to relax and soon enough she joined the fun. Now, as soon as the stick toys come out, Saffron is ready to play. This girl can catch some serious air! When the lounge gets really busy, she prefers to go up high on one of the glass shelves where she either watches the going-ons or she takes a nap.

Saffron is what we call a "pocket kitty" which means that she will most likely stay small. She loves running ahead of us when it is time to eat and when we go to pet her, she will throw herself on the floor and show off her belly. She is just the cutest little thing, pretty inside AND out!

When Saffron arrived at the lounge, the rescue mentioned that she was bonded with Halsey who arrived with her. During their first days, they did not spend any time together, both hiding in different areas in the lounge so we did not think they were bonded. As she has gotten more used to the lounge, it has become very apparent that Halsey is her best friend! They always eat next to each other and when they walk, their tails intertwine. It is so cute to see them butt their heads together and rub noses. It is very obvious that they are indeed bonded and need to be able to go home together!

We think Saffron and Halsey will do best in a quieter home with kids over 7 who will allow her some time of her own when she needs it. She would LOVE to have a soft spot in front of a window where she can soak up the sun and snuggle with her BFF.
